    Misconceptions of Thailand

Unfortunately, not only Iranians but also many people who do not travel to Thailand have wrong beliefs about this country and realize their mistakes after traveling to Thailand. I think Thailand is one of the most beautiful countries in the world with extremely kind people like nowhere else. You will not find the world.

Between your friend and those around you, when you hear that someone has traveled to Thailand, what is the first thing that comes to your mouth? I must say that these issues are not unique to Thailand and many third world countries have these issues as well.

Things you do not know about Thailand

I had read about it before traveling to Thailand and I was ready to see many things, such as the fact that transgender people make up part of the country's population, but when I got there I realized that they were much more than I had in mind.

Most Thai people are fluent in English and this is not surprising because a large part of the Thai economy is made up of tourists, Thai people are very kind and you always see a smile on their face and while I was there there was no sign of violence and I think Many people are patient, especially in the circumstances in which they live. The last thing I want to mention is that the Thai people are very respectful and very respectful and humble when talking and communicating with others. Do not use your foot to show something Now I do not know if it is because of their culture or because of their beliefs.

    The beauties of Thailand

As an Iranian, I dare say that no one has seen Thailand as much as I do. When friends say where did you see Thailand, I tell them I saw Thailand meter by meter From cities to remote villages of this country and I lived with them for part of my trip, spending more than half of my trip with Anna, a teacher in Bangkok, so I have a fanatical view of the country. I traveled to Chiang Rai, saw the southern cities and islands and the three islands of phangan, Tao and Samui in the east, and then entered Malaysia by land.

I have photos from this trip that you will surely want to see and put aside your misconceptions about Thailand and go to this beautiful country.

    Location of Thailand

Thailand is a country on the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia. It is bordered by Burma and Laos to the north, Laos and Cambodia to the east, Malaysia and the Gulf of Thailand to the south, and Burma and the Andaman Sea to the west. The official language of Thailand is the capital, as well as its most populous city, Bangkok, the currency and religion of about 95% of Buddhists. The name Thailand in the local language is derived from the two words Thi and Land, which means the land of the maiden or the land of smiles.

Thailand's location allows you to access neighboring countries such as Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam by land. Visas to these countries are not very difficult for Iranians.

    Thailand visa

Obtaining a Thai visa is very quick and easy. You can do this through an airline agency that receives a very small amount (excluding the cost of a Thai visa). They do not need special documents and after a week with a very high probability Your visa will be issued. The price for a normal tourist month is about 40 euros ,If you ask for more than this price, there is a problem.

    Flight to Thailand

Surely you know this, when you want to get a ticket to a country, it is better that your destination is Shakur Bangkok because your flight will be cheaper.

In 2016, when I was buying a plane ticket to Thailand, the airline offices offered me a ticket worth 3300 Tomans and it was the cheapest (Tehran to Bangkok and I returned to Kuala Lumpur to Tehran). I bought my ticket through the site [Skyscanner.org] (https://www.skyscanner.net) which cost about 1300 Tomans.

    SkyScanner Website

This price difference is due to the fact that Iranians are not able to buy from foreign sites due to the lack of visa cards. I also bought a ticket from a foreign friend who was in Tehran. If you decided to fly to Asia, Air Asia Airlines is the best option can be.

My trip to Bangkok took place in two stages. The first time I arrived in Bangkok from Tehran and the second time after I returned to Thailand by bus after Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. Undoubtedly, if I am asked, where is the best city in Thailand? I recommend the city of Chiang Mai. The flight lasted about an hour and a half and the ticket price from Bangkok to Chiang Mai was about 60 thousand tomans.

    Travel expenses to Thailand

Costs in Thailand are very low. For example, when I traveled to Thailand in 2016, the cost of inns was between 15,000 and 35,000 tomans, and each meal cost about 5,000 to 20,000 tomans, but due to the devaluation of the lungs, These days, the amounts have increased up to 1.5 times. In most cities of Thailand, especially the islands, you can rent a motorcycle for 24 hours at a cost of 25 thousand tomans, and filling the engine tank costs 5 thousand tomans each time. You either keep some money pledged so it is better to pledge money in such situations.

    Bangkok City

Bangkok is the destination of many tourists from all over the world, this city is known among the Thai people as the City of Angels. It is one of the largest cities in the world and one of the busiest capitals in Asia. Bangkok, like many modern cities in the world, has skyscrapers, luxury hotels and state-of-the-art shopping malls, and a very modern international airport with daily direct flights to many Asian capitals, Australia, Canada, Europe and the United States.

The only thing that may bother you in Bangkok is the temperature, which is very humid. Many Iranians may not be accustomed to such weather. Including myself, which took me almost three days to get used to. The temperature does not change in most months of the year, ie in spring or summer, there is not much difference in humidity.

    Bangkok Metro

Bangkok has a population of about 10 million people and is famous for its more than 400 unique Buddhist temples, and if you go on a tour to Thailand, considering that you are in Bangkok for two days, it is not possible to see all the attractions of this hot, crowded and exciting city. The people of Bangkok are very interested in eating. The restaurants and the types of food that are sold along the streets show this quite well. It is quite common to give a reward in Thailand.

My place of residence is Bangkok

Why not go to Thailand with a tour !?

Those who know me know that I am completely against touring, except in special circumstances, for example, for those who are older or do not care about adventure in travel, and their view of traveling is wrong (my opinion, if you have another opinion, leave a comment).

But why not travel to Thailand with tours, the main reason is that in Thailand tours you will see a list of more populous, more touristic and of course more expensive cities, such as Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket.

But there are other cities and islands that really have many times their own beauty and charm, such as the whitest temple in Thailand out of 40,000 temples.

White Temple in Chiang Rai, northern Thailand

Of course, to get here, I had to go from Bangkok to the north of Thailand, and well, it was really worth it, and the tours will never take you to such a place, as well as the Grand Canyon in Chiang Mai.

Apart from various cities such as Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, which I think the beautiful twins of northern Thailand are arguably among the three exceptional islands in the south, which I will mention in the future. Take it and travel to the heart of adventure without captivating yourself on tours that waste your time.
